Urocell® is an autologous cell therapy for patients with aconuresis. A muscle biopsy is taken from the patient in order to isolate myoblasts and fibroblasts. These cells are cultured in blood serum that is also taken from the patient. After 4-6 weeks, the cells can be harvested and implanted in the urethra. More products in the area of cardiology and plastic surgery are in development.
