BeFutur Biotechnologies focuses on cardiology, dermatology, hepatology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and dental surgery. The research is centred on autologous human cells using a serum free medium. With this technology BeFuture produces human 3-dimensional reconstituted tissue models for the in vitro testing of cosmetic and pharmacological products. The dermis model, composed of fibroblasts, collagen and a unique matrix of protein, including angiogenesis and immunological factors, has a life span of over 90 days with a physiological barrier functionality equivalent to the one of humans. It showed a 96% accordance to the in vivo data, concerning irritation, phototoxicity, corrosivity and toxicology. The Cardio Cells division of the company is focussed on the development of micro implants and new technologies supporting the regeneration of muscular cardiac cells a and the angiogenesis of cardiac blood vessels. The company uses totally animal serum free medium in order to exclude any risk of contamination. The Art of Skin division is developing injecable (autologous) products for the treatment of wrinkles and cosmetic products for daily maintainance.
