The concept of haematopoietic stem cell therapy is supported by Eufets AG by providing state-of-the-art services for cell processing. To do so, the company is equipped with cleanrooms that meet GMP standards. In addition, EUFETS offers competent assistance for clinicians and scientists competent assistance for clinicians and scientists including the production of retroviral vectors, the transduction of haematopoietic cells with retroviral vectors and the processing of haematopoietic cells.
Current patient-oriented research projects and clinical studies phase I/II include e.g., establishment of methods for the prediction of graft versus host disease, for the diagnosis of haematological disorders, for the monitoring of patients after gene therapy (e.g. quantitative assessment of gene modified cells, safety testing for replication competent retroviruses), the examination of the features of different retroviral vectors with regard to improvement of gene delivery and long-term gene expression, myeloprotection via retroviral transfer of the mdr1-gene and adoptive immunotherapy with genetically-modified T-cells.
