Euroderm is a start-up company founded in Leipzig in 2002 and winner of the business plan competition Future SAX in 2003. euroderm GmbH has transfered production of its skin transplants to Stuttgart at the Stuttgart Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology (IGB).

The company specialises in two areas: the medication sector providing treatments for chronic wounds and providing human skin models for industry or research institutions that can be used for testing cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or chemicals as an alternative to animal testing.
Currently, the company commercialises three products: Eurokinin®: autologous thromocyte growth factors for tissue repair (actively enhance the growth of cartilage and new vessels). EpiDex™: ’skin from hair’ for the plastic coverage of wounds (made from autologous cells of the ORS; epidermal equivalent for the treatment of chronic wounds; patients can be treated on an off-patient basis). Euroskin: in vitro test system (as an alternative to animal experiments, GMP conformity).
