The Nanoparticulate, Cell and Tissue Engineering Group works on the development of new procedures for the production of nanoparticulate bioproducts as well as gene therapy products. Research is directed at improving bioseparation, enzyme production, packaging cell lines and fabrication processes of viral vectors for gene therapy and at developing flow cytometric methods and animal cell culture systems for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.

The group is also interested in bioartificial liver systems and tissue engineering of cartilage and bone.
