Bioheart’s autologous cell transplantation technology (MyoCell™) is delivered to the patient either percutaneously or surgically. The therapy is designed to regenerate infarcted, scarred or non-functioning myocardial tissue into functioning muscle. The second lead product of the company is MyoCath - SR 200, a percutaneous needle injection catheter for delivering cell therapy or other compounds to the myocardial tissue. The third product is a cell-based product for the treatment of ventricular tachycardia (VT; MyoCell VT), and the forth, a cell-based product used for the treatment of sinoatrial nodal dysfunction disease (BioPace); i.e. a biological pacemaker.
MyoCell is currently in clinical trials in the US and Europe (Phase I/II); MyoCath-SR200 is currently in clinical trials in Europe (Phase I/II)
