Tissue-specific differentiation and stem cell biology

In cooperation with the Clinic of Urology, Clinic of Orthopaedics and Clinic of Neurology/Cardiology Dr. Neumeister conducts investigations on autologous adult mesenchymal stem cells for the regeneration of muscles. Major focus of the department is the extraction of stem cells, as well as the establishment of cell cultures. Differentiation and molecular characterisation of the gained cell populationsare further interests the scientists.
