Tissera obtaines the license for the worldwide exclusive rights to the technology developed by Professor Yair Reisner and his team at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.

Tissera’s approach in tissue transplantation is the collection of embryonic mammalian tissue in a very early phase. Organ-specific precursor tissues are generated and transplanted in target organ systems. Proof of principle of this method was demonstrated in experiments conducted in Prof. Reisner’s lab at the Weizmann Institute and described in Nature Medicine in December 2002.

At the moment research is focused on transplantation of kidney, liver and pancreas tissues.
