Hycail b.v.
Development of renewable and bio-degradable materials from lactic acid (PLA)
Hycail BV was founded in 1997 as a spin-off of the Rijks University Groningen. Its technology is based on the work of Prof. Pennings who investigated the molecular architecture-property relationship of polylactic acid (PLA). In 2004, Hycail founded a subsdiary in Turku, Finland, that performs fundamental research for Hycail BV and applied development and technical service support for the customers in the Scandinavian region.
