Aesculap’s history started as far back as in 1867 with the manufacturing of surgical instruments in Tuttlingen, Germany. In 1998, Aesculap AG & Co KG was incorporated into the the B. Braun Group as the Aesculap Division.

In 2005, Aesculap, Inc. won the 2005 Market Penetration Leadership Award presented by Frost & Sullivan for its innovative strategy for providing its medical devices to hospitals, surgical centers, and physicians.
