Research topics at IRC are hard tissue replacement (bioceramics e.g. for skull bone reconstruction), orthopaedic cell and tissue engineering (mesenchymal stem cells seeded on RGD-functionalised polymers), biomaterials in dentistry and for drug delivery e.g. fluoride and monofluorophosphate releasing implants, forming and processing technology, for example the investigation of mechanical and surface properties of Polyurethane and construction of interfaces and sensors.
