University of Birmingham - Bio-Medical Research Centre

Research of natural and synthetic materials in order to develop medical devices.

The Group comprises approximately 8 scientists. Due to computer aided design, finite element analysis and mechanical testing the group is able to develop medical devices from synthetic or natural biomaterials.
In addition, the group is seraching improved materials for implants and fixation of implants. The group is also involved in micro-engineering, nanotechnology and tissue engineering.
