Imedex Biomatériaux mainly focuses on the development of collagen-based biomaterials used in tissue repair and tissue engineering. Several human and animal collagen types can be manufactured for the application in cell therapy, drug delivery or surgical application.
Imedex’ technologies i.a. contain Parietex Composite®, a dual-facing mesh that demonstrates a full cell rehabitation and a resorbable adhesion-prevention film, and Prevadh®, a collagen formulation used to prevent abdominal and visceral adhesions.
Human collagen types are being tested for the use in medical areas like wound healing, dura mater repair, nerve repair, spinal cord injuries and refractive surgery.
