Straumann AG focuses predominantly on dental implants, but has in recent years attached greater importance to exploring oral tissue regeneration. The copany’s product portfolio contains Emdogain®, Bone Ceramic and Bone Block Fixation, an extensive “toolbox” for dental professionals.

Emdogain® is a biological product creating an insoluble matrix that allows selective cell colonisation, in which cellular interactions lead to cell proliferation, growth factor synthesis and cell differentiation, i.e. stimulation of the regeneration of hard and soft tissues, e.g. in periodontal diseases like intrabony defects, class II mandibular furcation and recession defects.

Bone Ceramic is a synthetic bone substitute based on porous material that advances the regrowth of vital bone.

Bone Block Fixation targets the stabilisation and fixation of bone grafts and bone filling materials in order to support implant procedures.
