Large Scale Biology Corporation
Manufacture and development of plant-made proteins and vaccines for pharmaceutical application
LSBC was founded in 1987 in order to commercialise Geneware®, the first of several proprietary technologies. A modern production facility was subsequently established in Owensboro, Kentucky, focusing on therapeutic proteins and vaccines.
LSBC has been listed on Nasdaq since 2000.

LSBC is specialised in protein development and manufacturing, with a particular focus on the commercialization and manufacturing of therapautic proteins and vaccines (e.g., Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and papillomaviruses).
The company’s most important viral vector is Geneware®. Additional technological platforms enable the expression of genes in plants.
LSBC’s BAMF (Biomarker AMplifier/Filter) technology enables the detection of diseases such as ovarian, prostate or lung cancers.
The following section contains a selection of the company’s most relevant patents. For comprehensive patent information please refer to the espacenet databases.
