The company has developed a state-of-the-art tissue regeneration substrate called Gelrin. This technology is based on a biosynthetic hybrid hydrogel comprised of a biological backbone and synthetic cross-links. The biological domains excert excellent healing properties; the material’s synthetic cross-links provide the material with superior physical characteristics. The biodegradation of the material is fully controllable. The company hopes to have its first orthopaedic product ready within the next three years: GelrinCartilage, which is a chondrogenically enriched ingrowth matrix for cartilage regeneration. Two additional products are in the pipeline for regeneration of bone and spine.
