CellSystems was founded in 1992 as a sales and marketing organisation and is one of the main providers of cell culture products to the life science community. Major research and development focuses on 3-dimensional cell models and the distribution of advanced products for stem cell separation, maintenance and differentiation.

The company has developed a 3-dimensional organotypic in vitro skin model, AST-2000 (Advanced Skin Test) which is based on human epidermal keratinocytes and fibroblasts embedded in a collagen matrix and ideal tool for cosmetic and chemical compound testing. Angiogenesis Kit ZHA-1000 (TCS CellWorks Ltd., UK) is a human model based on fibroblasts and endothelial cells seeded in extracellular matrix proteins and appropriate for examining different diseases where angiogenesis plays a crucial role (e.g. cancer therapy, cardiovascular disease, wound healing).

In addition, the company sells products for cell isolation and tissue dissociation, as well as coagulation proteins and research reagents from haematologic technologies including: purified plasma zymogens, enzymes, cofactors, inhibitors, substrates, antibodies, sample collection tubes and ELISA reagents.
