Advanced Nutraceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANII) is a holding company founded by Dr. Pailla M. Reddy. It operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Bactolac Pharmaceutical, Inc. Bactolac (www.bactolac.com), which is a contract manufacturer of vitamin and nutritional supplement products, was acquired by ANII in 1999. ANI Pharmaceuticals, Inc (ANIP), formed in 2001 as a subsdiary of ANI, was sold to an unrelated party for approximately $3.4 million in March 2004. It was a contract and private label manufacturer of OTC pharmaceutical products.
