Degradable Solutions AG has developed a technology-platform for the production of new biomaterials for bone regeneration. These biomaterials include for example: calc-i-ossĀ®, a granulate consisting of bioresorbable high purity (99%) betatricalciumphosphate to support bone regeneration. Once filled into the defect, the granules create a macro-porous structure which enables the formation of autologous tissue. The material is suitable for filling largely non-stressed, multiple-walled bone defects of the skeleton. Resorption is expected to be completed within 9 to 15 months.
RootReplica(TM) allows optimal wound healing after tooth extraction by using an exact copy of the tooth root made from a degradable bone augmentation biomaterial. The implant is also resorbed within 9 - 15 months and replaced by autologus bone. Therefore, the material prevents the loss of the alveolar cortical plate and hinders the accumulation of bacteria.
