NeoStem is engaged in autologous stem cell collection for therapy, which does not involve embryonic or foetal stem cells in any way. The first service NeoStem offers is autologous stem cell banking. The stem cells are preserved in cryostorage as such these cells are in suspended animation and chemical and biologic reactions cease. The NeoStem collection centre is located at the Good Samaritan Medical Office building in Los Angeles.
The company has developed and filed numerous patents on the processing techniques and therapeutic applications of adult stem cells for future health care needs.
