The concept of Cell Cure Neurosciences is to use human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, ALS and Alzheimer’s disease. Cell Cure concentrates on the differentiation of hESCs into neural progenitor cells, which could substitute defective brain cells of patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

The studies are in pre-clinical stage now. Neural progenitor cells have been tested in a rat model for Parkinson’s disease. Further investigations will concentrate on a monkey model.
